The map and its levels

Find a place, change the map colour and share the same view.

Guide updated · Source dates are shown in the app

Say a home catches your eye in a place you do not know. Start with the map, choose the question you are trying to answer, then open the home’s own page.

Move from country to ZIP

Country, State, County and ZIP choose how much detail the map shows. Click an area to move closer. A place page adds the area’s numbers; a home page explains that listing. Cities have their own place pages even though City is not a map layer.

The browser address follows the place and question. Copy it to share the view. Filters and sort are in the query string, so refresh and Back restore them.

Choose the question first

Motivated sellers finds a long listing run with price reductions. Stacked signals combines different reasons to look closer. The question guides explain each list, including probate and city code cases.

Read the colour and the legend

The colour picker chooses a number. Read the legend’s label and units before comparing colours. A higher cost can have the opposite colour direction from a higher return. A grey or blank area can mean too little data or a locked number; it is not a value of zero.

Every number has a guide, including its source and limitations. County figures repeated across ZIPs are not independent measurements for each ZIP.

Narrow the homes

Filters keeps one shared set of ordinary controls, such as type, price, beds and baths. Each question adds its own main measure first. Motivated sellers and Stacked signals put the minimum lead score first; Rent covers cost starts with rent cover. A locked control names the plan required.

Choose Show homes to apply your changes. Clear a chip to remove one filter, or use Reset in Filters to remove them together. A minimum score selects homes at or above it; the lead-score sort puts the higher scores first.

Open a home and check the evidence

The home’s Seller’s story follows supported listing changes. Money shows its costs and assumptions. The area gives local context. Check the original listing and source dates before relying on an estimate.
