Rent ÷ cost to own (homes for sale)
What this number means, its source and the limits of using it.
Guide updated · Source dates are shown in the app
Say rent looks comfortably above ownership costs. This divides estimated monthly rent by the cost to own without a mortgage. It leaves out borrowing and rental operating expenses, so it is not cash profit.
Reading the number
Group: Sellers. Units: Multiple. Read the selected geography and compare the same measure at the same level.
Source and date
Supported rental evidence and HUD rent benchmarks. Expected interval: about 1 day. This is a schedule, not proof that a refresh succeeded.
A guide update is not a data refresh. The source period and collection date, when available, are on the app’s data details. A missing date is unknown, never today. Check freshness.
Access and limits
Buyer and above by default. The app’s current lock is authoritative if settings change. Derived measures also need their input measures open. A missing number is not zero. What each plan shows.
